Bargainacious!

The Body Shop. I walked in there today and was a good girl. Why you ask? Well some of their body butters were on sale from £12.50 down to £5 and I didn't buy one!
They didn't have any hair brushes which is what I went in for in the first place so off I went.
I'm so glad I didn't buy the body butters because I've just been on The Body Shop's website and they have been reduced even further to just £3!

The Body Shop can be expensive but you can get some real bargains when they have a sale. I also love that you get free delivery when you spend £15.

Here's what I have just purchased:

Raspberry Body Butter - SALE £5 and under
Raspberry Body Butter 200ml £3 in the sale

Almond Body Butter - SALE £5 and under
Almond Body Butter 200ml £3 in the sale - My sister has an Almond body butter and it smells like Cherry Bakewells!

Paddle Brush - SALE £5 and under
Paddle Brush £5 in the sale

Small Cushion Brush - SALE £5 and under
Small Cushion Brush £3 in the sale

Nail File Bright Floral - £5 and under Gifts
Nail File £1.50

The four Body Butters I like are Coconut, Cocoa Butter, Raspberry and Almond so I'm glad two of them are in the sale. I really really really wish they did a Vanilla one again as that's my favourite scent.

So go on! Go have a look at what they're offering :)

Accessorize has a sale on! Good thing- Cheaper prices (You can then buy more stuff :P), Bad thing- Women. That sounds sexist to my own sex haha but you understand right? Lets just stand there and not let people in! Oh and one woman decided to park her pram right infront of the sale items. Congratulations on having a baby! But move the hell outta my way please?

Aha anyway, I needed a new school bag so I got this hugeeeeee one! It also has a zip and compartments inside. This originally was £22 but was in the sale for £11!

Face of the day

Ew. This is the best picture I could get and I still look disgusting.

I'm not going anywhere today so I thought I would try out a red lippie! I'm also testing how long it lasts for an upcoming review. I wouldn't wear this out during the day but I would if I was going out for the night (With winged black eyeliner).

I'm wearing:
Bloom's Mineral Plus Lipstick in Ragtime
Bloom's Full and Flirty Waterproof Fake Lash Mascara (The photo's really don't do it justice, I just have small eyelashes!)

Lunch of today

I don't write these types of posts because A. My meals are normally boring and B. This isn't a blog where I keep track of my diet. BUT today my lunch was scrummy and it makes me look healthy ;)

Tomato soup with a diced fresh tomato and pepper corn, accompanied by wholemeal rolls.

Yum!

I find soup boring so I added the tomato to have something to chew on!

Bloom Cosmetics

Here are some photo's of a few Bloom Cosmetics that I will be reviewing in the next few weeks, kindly sent to me by Superdrug.
I haven't heard much of this brand before and that's probably because it is an Australian brand. You can look on their website at the products and there are tons! and I am intrigued by what they have to offer as they look really good (The lipstain for one). Unfortunately it's an Australian website so I don't think we can purchase from there but Bloom Cosmetics are available in selected Superdrug stores. If they're in your Superdrug, you're very lucky!

For some reason the photo's I take are going blurry. This is really annoying as I cannot afford to get a new camera.
But here is what I was sent:

Gradual Tan Face, Full & Flirty Waterproof Fake Lash Mascara in Black, Shadow Liner in Soft Taupe, Lip Definer in Lusciously Lined and Mineral Plus Lipstick in Ragtime.

See what I mean?! I've tried all types of lighting, but I think my camera is dying :(
Anyway from top to bottom: Shadow Liner in Soft Taupe, Lip Definer in Lusciously Lined and Mineral Plus Lipstick in Ragtime.

When I first opened the lipstick I was like 'Woaah' as I don't wear red lipsticks but when applied with a light hand it looks absolutely gorgeous; natural berry stained lips.

Here is the website where you can check out what other products they have to offer: http://www.bloomcosmetics.com/. Admittedly though, they are quite expensive.

If you go to http://bloomcosmetics.com/STOCKISTSLIST.aspx you can find out if a Superdrug near you stocks them :)
As well as buying in store, you can also purchase Bloom Cosmetics from http://www.superdrug.com/Brand/Bloom/icat/bloom

Oh and, how nice is the packaging?!

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula

'COCOA BUTTER, enriched with VITAMIN E, in a soothing emollient base. Helps smooth and blend unattractive marks and scars. Tones skin. An excellent all-over-body moisturiser and after tanning butter. Use immediately after following exposure to the sun and wind. Ideal for deep moisturisation, including overnight treatments. Widely recommended for stretch marks during and after pregnancy. Use daily for soft, youthful appearance.'

WOW! So what does this claim?
  • Smooths and blends unattractive marks and scars
  • Tones skin
  • Great after tanning butter
  • Good with skin exposed to the sun and wind
  • Recommended for during and after pregnancy to prevent stretch marks
  • Helps give a youthful appearance
^ All moisturisers do these things; these are the benefits as to why we moisturise aren't they?
Palmer's have just brought these benefits forward to sound better than other moisturisers on the market, and good for them.

The smell
I loveeeee! It has a chocolate vanilla scent so it is very sweet. The scent is strong so some people may not like it.

The formula
It's like a tub of Vaseline - a solid balm. You cannot scoop it out like a normal body butter because of it's solid consistency so I 'moosh' it up before using.
This is VERY greasy, the greasiest product I have used in fact. It takes a while to absorb into the skin so it is best used at night or when you're not planning on going out.
It melts at body temperature so feels warm when applying which is really nice. This would be perfect for a massage! Any takers?

Although it's greasy, it leaves my skin extremely soft afterwards. I used it on my legs for a few days then decided to try it on my feet, hands, elbows and lips - Adventurous, I know ;) Gotta live on the edge! :P Wherever applied was left soft :)

I was a little disappointed when I purchased this product because I was looking for a body butter and this is a greasy balm. But, this smells great and leaves my skin extremely soft so the pros outweigh the cons. Another good point about this product is that it is cheap, costing around £3 so that's 3-1 for the pros.

Would I repurchase? This pot will last me ages! But once finished, probably not. It's a good product but I'm always changing what I use and by the time I've finished this, I will have my eye on something else.
