Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipsticks

I wrote a post about these last year and it is my most popular post to date. Today I decided to update the photos because since then, I've got a better quality camera. However, when you click to enlarge the images or see them on Google images, the old photos appear rather than the new ones, so I thought I'd do a whole new post with the updated photos. You can never see enough swatches right?
Click here to go to the old post where you can see my review on the lipsticks.
Click here for the Ambre Rose post.

Lip balm was applied prior to application of the lipsticks.

Coral Tonic

Darling Pink

Mystic Mauve

Pink Brown

Coral Pearl

Kiss Pearl

Ambre Rose

£7.19 each from Boots, however prices will vary depending on the store.

17 Lasting Fix Lipstick in Showbiz

Price: £4.29

Lightly dabbed on.

Applied heavily.

This is very pigmented and as the name suggests, lasts longer than other formulations. It's also non-drying. It leaves a gorgeous stain on your lips, like the second photo. I'm not one to wear a red lip, I think I look stupid, so prefer to wear it like in the second photo; the 'just eaten strawberries' natural look.

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick in Ambre Rose

If you would like to see swatches of 6 other shades in the Maybelline Colour Sensational range, click here.

I bought this from Fragrance Direct for £1.50, £3.45 including P&P. The site offers a few other shades which aren't well known, which is why I was surprised to see them selling Ambre Rose because it's a popular shade from the range.

Ambre Rose is a light pinky-peach with subtle gold shimmer. It's very pretty indeed! I have the same feelings towards the lipstick packaging and formula as in my other post. Again, the link is above!

MAC Chatterbox lipstick

Natural lighting.

With flash.

^ The true colour is the first picture :)

Swatchy swatch!

I love this lipstick, it feels really creamy and has great pigmentation (It's an Amplified Creme)
Chatterbox is a warm toned pink and bright without being neon. Because it is warm toned (& not blue toned), it can make your teeth look more yellow so be careful of that!

Barry M Lip Paint- Pinkie Gold Sparkle 132

My first Lip Paint! I was going to buy Peachy Pink 147 as I've been lusting after it for ages, but after seeing the swatches for this, I knew I'd wear it more often.
This is also one of the Lip Paints which isn't drying, as I've heard that most of them are. I can safely say that you do not need to wear a lip balm under this one :)
The name describes the colour in a nutshell; Pink, gold and sparkly!

You can see the pink veins running through the lipstick here and in real life, it's even more gorgeous.
I also love the packaging; simple yet sleek.

It's more pink than the swatches are showing as the gold really is reflecting in the above photos, especially the right!
Here is the Lip Paint on my lips, giving you a better idea of the colour:

This is a beautiful everyday colour and I haven't had a colour like this before, overall, I'm impressed!

Natural Collection Lipstick in Pink Mallow

This lipstick is £1.95 and is a standard pretty pink :)
The colour below is a little brighter/lighter than the lipstick actually is because of the light setting.

The second swatch from the top is the true colour of this lipstick.

Natural Collection Lipstick in Candy Mist

This lipstick is £1.95 which is great value. It reminds me of Nivea's Pearl and Shine lip balm as its a pretty pearly pink which is sheer. (Out of the two I prefer Pearl and Shine as it conditions and protects your lips at the same time.)

Bare lips: (Camera has really picked up those freckles on my lips!)

Avon Haul & New Phone

Solutions Pure Pore-Fection Self-Foaming Cleanser £1.50, Solutions Plus Total Radiance Skin Refining Clay Mask £1.50, Glazewear Dimensions Lipstick in Nude Gold and Sequins Pink £4.50 each, Ultra Colour Rich Lipstick in Iced Coffee £3.25.

From top to bottom: Iced Coffee, Iced Coffee blended out, Sequins Pink, Nude Gold.

I've just sent the lipsticks back because Iced Coffee isn't my kind of colour and Nude Gold & Sequins Pink are not that pigmented. Plus I hardly ever wear lip products and regret getting them!

I can not wait to try out the cleanser and clay mask - reviews will be coming up :)

I also got a new phone today: Samsung Genio Touch. This phone comes with my contract and is known as the budget touch phone for young teenagers. I agree, this phone is cheap and will appeal to the younger market as you can change the back of the phone to different colours. It is quite a good phone so far and I don't mind that it only has a 2mp camera because I don't use the cameras on phones. If this phone had a better camera, it would be absolutely amazing for people who do use them. I have changed the back cover to black because I only like black sleek phones.

I read some reviews on this phone but you can not really go by these as this phone only came out last month so no one can properly review it. The main things said about this phone is the price and camera. Someone also said that the speaker isn't very loud? They can not be more wrong - its really loud!

So far, I reaaaally like this phone! I think it should be a lot more expensive than its price tag.

Natural Collection Haul & Reviews

A few months ago I purchased 6 products from Natural Collection. 3 for £5 - cheap as chips!

From left to right: Nail Polish 'Crystal Clear', Moisture Shine Lipstick 'Candy Mist', Moisture Shine Lipstick 'Pink Mallow', Cream Blusher 'Rosy Pink', Bronzing Pearls 'Sahara Sun' & Bronzing Powder 'Golden Glow'.

Here are the swatches. From top to bottom: 'Candy Mist' Lipstick, 'Pink Mallow' Lipstick, 'Rosy Pink' Cream Blusher, 'Sahara Sun' Bronzing Pearls & 'Golden Glow' Bronzing Powder.

Lipsticks:
The lipsticks go on smoothly and don't dry your lips out. The colour pay off is quite good but the staying power isn't the best - I'm not too fussed about this because its easy to re apply and I don't mind for the price.

Cream Blusher:
I love this and want to purchase some other colours. Its so easy to apply and takes seconds - Squeeze a small amount onto your finger and then rub into cheeks like you would with a lotion. The finished result is really good, giving you that natural 'pinched cheeks' look.

Bronzing Pearls:
These give a gorgeous shimmering glow effect. This shade contains pink, yellow and purple bronzing pearls. I think the pink and yellow create the bronze colour and the purple tones it down. These are also nice for a wash of colour on the lids - very subtle but still beautiful.

Bronzing Powder:
Some bronzers can be too shimmery but I think this bronzer is just right for me. It does have some shimmer in it but I think this gives the overall effect a pearly glow. I will defiantly stick to this bronzer in the future.

I've also tried their mascara, concealer & lip gloss which again, are all great products.

Packaging: I really like the packaging, its simple and doesn't look tacky.

Would I recommend Natural Collection products?
100% yes! Each product is under £2 and is really good quality.

Avon Lipsticks

These are my favourite lipsticks & can not wait to buy more!
The first one is Avon Ultra Colour Rich Lipstick & the colour I have is Frozen Rose:
This colour is like a dusky pink with gold reflects. This shade is a neutral colour so will suit any skin tone ( Avon also say so ). The normal price for this is £6.50. This goes on smoothly, feels really creamy and just feels amazing to wear. This just adds that little more pigmentation to your lips with a gorgeous shimmer effect...

The second lipstick is Ultra Colour Rich Mousse Lipstick SPF15. I have this in Delicate pink:
My camera has died so these images are from the internet, the colour of the lipstick above is not Delicate pink. Here is an Image of what the colour looks like:

This colour is basically a toned down pink and is also a neutral shade so any ages can wear this colour. I love love love this! Again it is creamy, moisturising and you do not need to wear a gloss over this lipstick because it already looks as if your wearing one. The SPF15 is a bonus and the 'moisturising core' really does seem to work. The normal price for this lipstick is £7.

The prices I have gave you won't really matter because Avon always have deals on like '2 for £8' or 'Spend £15 and get a free handbag' so the overall prices which you pay for their products work out really cheap.

I defiantly recommend Avon's lipsticks. :)
