Barry M Gelly Nail Paints

Greenberry, Blueberry, Prickly Pear, Dragon Fruit, Papaya, Grapefruit, Pomegranate, Blood Orange

After buying Dragon Fruit on Monday, I realised just how many Barry M Gelly Nail Paints I have. I love them, and can't wait to see what other shades will be released this year! You can see my swatches of Greenberry here, Papaya here, Pomegranate here, and Blood Orange here. I'll be taking photos of the other shades soon.

Do you own any of these nail polishes?

Nubar 2010 Preview

This is just a preview because I want to take more photos but couldn't wait to show you!

Nubar 2010 is £6.80 on Feel Unique's website but I had 20% off :)

Swatches:
They're not very good so that's why I want to take more in the next week. The reflective flakes main colours are copper and green but other colours sneek their way in, in certain lighting (Looks pink on my blue nail at the moment)

Gorgeous isn't it?
You will be seeing more of this in the next few days :)

Feet of the week!

Like my assonance there ^ ;)

Barry M's Pure Turquoise 295 and Pink Flamingo 305

You're probably bored of seeing Barry M nail paints.. I am a little. But I wanted two nail polishes with the same finish or else it would look weird (haha and this doesn't? :P). Most of Barry M's nail paints (apart from the glitters and a few shimmers they have) are a cream finish (The six I have are) so they go well together.

Barry M Nail Paint in Pure Turquoise 295

Hello my lovelies!
Previously I said that I wasn't going to do a Nails Of The Week post because my nails were too short, but I was eager to try out Barry M's Nail Paint in Pure Turquoise which I recently purchased. I am in love with this colour! & I actually like my nails short, they don't look half bad :)

So without further ado, I would like you to meet Pure Turquoise 295:

(Couldn't decide on a photo hehe)

Application was fine, a little streaky when I applied the first coat but a second evened the colour out well.

Barry M's Strawberry Icecream 309 Nail Paint

Fern suggested that I should do a NOTW post using this nail paint but I have recently cut my nails short (By cut I mean bit :P) so it wouldn't look all that good (I will when my nails get a wee bit longer). But I thought I'd show you 'swatches'. My index finger nail has three coats and the rest have one. As you can see it is quite sheer but whether it has one coat or three, the colour is gorgeous. I also think that one coat would be a great base for a pink toned french manicure :)

Two New Additions

Strawberry Ice cream 309 and Pure Turquoise 295
(Cute background is a folder from Tesco's, because I know your all interested ;P)

On offer 2 for £5 (£2.95 each when offer does not apply)

I wanted Baby Pink but unfortunately my Superdrug have none at the moment so I opted for Strawberry Ice cream. From initial swatches, Strawberry Ice cream is slightly more sheer than the other Barry M nail paints I have. The other ones in my collection only need 1-2 coats whereas this one needs 3. The colour is the ultimate little girl pink in my opinion.
Might pick up some more tomorrow... hehe

Today's Buys

Here is No45 Warior and No54 Magical. £1.50 each.

& here's a rubbish photo of them aha, on the thumb you have Warior (Shimmery sandy beige colour) but the camera isn't picking up the shimmer. Magical (Coralish colour) )is on the index finger. Warior only needed 1/2 coats and is great but Magical is very sheer and needed 4 coats and it could really do with another 2 coats. It's a shame about the consistency of this polish because it's like a jelly bean colour which I love.

I also bought this beach bag for £3 :)

Collection 2000 Hot Looks in Show Off

Voila. My nails are still quite short which is annoying. They should be nice and long again in a week or two. These quality photo's are awful so when I get my hands on a proper camera, I shall take some more. The shade of blue, as you can see, is a true blue. The only thing that the camera isn't picking up, due to its lack of focus, is the shimmer. Application was good, the usual 2 coats and I shall see how long the polish lasts until looking a bit shabby.
:)

Oh and forgot to mention, this is £1.79 :)

East Village

In a New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish in East Village

Some of you may have seen a few posts down that I didn't like this polish as it was VERY sheer...

Good news is that I've found the number of coats you need to apply for it to become opaque.
Bad news is that you have to apply 4 coats. This might not seem a lot to some people, but all the nail polishes I have tried apply in 1 coat, 2 at the most, so I don't think I'll be wearing it that often.
I have a blue similar to this from Collection 2000 which is amazing. Miss Sporty also do a beautiful blue. Both of these apply like a dream.

Small NYC Nail Varnish Haul

I bought:

£2.49
New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish in 216B Central Park - This is a really pretty pink/peach/beige. This is very shimmery which I love.

£2.49
New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish in 206B East Village - I don't like this so far, its VERY sheer and watery. Its a shame because the colour is gorgeous. Maybe I just got a bad bottle :/

£1.99
Long-Wearing Nail Enamel in 133 Purple Pizzazz Frost - Lovely shimmery purple.

My Toes :)

As I've said previously, my camera has died so I have decided to draw you what my toe nails look like! (Paint over a picture) The colours you see are accurate to what the colours look like in real life as they do not have any shimmer in them.

^ Looks very similar to my toe nails.
The colours used are: Barry M Nail Paint in Limited Edition Pink & Collection 2000 Nail Polish in BMX Bandit.
Oh and some people might say that they are not symmetrical: They are not meant to be - Left foot pink toe nails with pink on the inside on the big toe nail and right foot blue toe nails with blue on the inside of the big toe nail.

Natural Collection Haul & Reviews

A few months ago I purchased 6 products from Natural Collection. 3 for £5 - cheap as chips!

From left to right: Nail Polish 'Crystal Clear', Moisture Shine Lipstick 'Candy Mist', Moisture Shine Lipstick 'Pink Mallow', Cream Blusher 'Rosy Pink', Bronzing Pearls 'Sahara Sun' & Bronzing Powder 'Golden Glow'.

Here are the swatches. From top to bottom: 'Candy Mist' Lipstick, 'Pink Mallow' Lipstick, 'Rosy Pink' Cream Blusher, 'Sahara Sun' Bronzing Pearls & 'Golden Glow' Bronzing Powder.

Lipsticks:
The lipsticks go on smoothly and don't dry your lips out. The colour pay off is quite good but the staying power isn't the best - I'm not too fussed about this because its easy to re apply and I don't mind for the price.

Cream Blusher:
I love this and want to purchase some other colours. Its so easy to apply and takes seconds - Squeeze a small amount onto your finger and then rub into cheeks like you would with a lotion. The finished result is really good, giving you that natural 'pinched cheeks' look.

Bronzing Pearls:
These give a gorgeous shimmering glow effect. This shade contains pink, yellow and purple bronzing pearls. I think the pink and yellow create the bronze colour and the purple tones it down. These are also nice for a wash of colour on the lids - very subtle but still beautiful.

Bronzing Powder:
Some bronzers can be too shimmery but I think this bronzer is just right for me. It does have some shimmer in it but I think this gives the overall effect a pearly glow. I will defiantly stick to this bronzer in the future.

I've also tried their mascara, concealer & lip gloss which again, are all great products.

Packaging: I really like the packaging, its simple and doesn't look tacky.

Would I recommend Natural Collection products?
100% yes! Each product is under £2 and is really good quality.

Electric Beige

As you can see, these colours are gorgeous!

These both only took one coat which I think is pretty darn good for a lower priced brand & Electric Beige had few chips by the end of the week.

One down, Five to go

My sister kindly picked me up Collection 2000's Hot Looks nail polish in BMX Bandit:

With Flash

Without Flash

I would say that the second picture is true to what this polish looks like. The first one looks more blue than what it is. I love this colour and the polish itself is really good. It dried so quickly! Which is a good thing :)
There are five more colours from this collection which I want.

There is a colour from Miss Sporty which I am also going to get on Saturday. It is like BMX Bandit but more vibrant and a gorgeous blue/purple colour:

Miss Sporty nail polish's are £1.95.
I have quite a few from this brand and I love them. You should check out the other colours they do:
