Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser and thank you Ellie!

Wash bag the starter kit comes in.

Back in the day, I used to use my mum's Liz Earle products. I didn't know anything about what a product should do, brands etc so thought nothing of it. Now, it seems like Liz Earle is one of the leading skincare brands and a favourite to many.

The 100ml pump starter kit (Which I was sent to review) is priced at £13.25. I've been using this for the past 3-4 weeks.

Liz Earle say: "We only make one cleanser because this formulation is the ultimate in concentrated yet gentle cleansing power and works on every age and skin type.
Our plant-based cleanser has a 2-phase action, phase 1 is the cleansing. Free from mineral oil, it has a rich and creamy texture and swiftly removes all traces of face and eye make-up, even stubborn mascara.
Phase 2 is the polishing. Polish off the cream using the pure muslin cloth to help gently dislodge dead skin cells and help reveal clean, soft and radiant skin.
Naturally active ingredients include eucalyptus and cocoa butter for smoother, clearer skin."

First of all, the packaging of Liz Earle products is simply beautiful! Small touches like the tissue paper and sticker imply that Liz Earle really care.
I love that Liz Earle only make one cleanser that is simple and suitable for all skin types. The scent is fresh and you can definitely smell the rosemary, but it isn't overpowering. The consistency is of a thick cream and when you massage it in, it melts. This cleanser leaves your skin baby bottom soft, like you've just moisturised, which is rare to find in a cleanser. The muslin cloths gently exfoliate your skin, leaving it even more soft. I wouldn't recommend using this if you have a lot of eye make-up on because the cloths will get really dirty, but if you're going to chuck them in the wash after, it doesn't really matter.
For me, the product is a little too expensive for my budget, but if you can afford to, I would advise you to purchase it.

I would also like to thank Ellie because I won her giveaway! The prize?

A Liz Earle moisturiser. I chose the combination/oily formula :)
Thank you so much Ellie :)

Naked time!

I love Groupon. They've had some great deals in the past. I recently purchased the Naked deal, where you paid £8 for a £20 voucher to spend on Naked products. This has been mentioned very little in the blogging world so I'm guessing not many people purchased it. I must admit, I only purchased it because I had Groupon credit, meaning I got the deal for free. Because of this, I only had to pay for P&P. So what did I buy for £3.99?

  • Scrub Up Naked - Sea Minerals Salt Scrub - £6.99. This smells like the ocean, which I thoroughly enjoy. I've already discovered that a little goes a longgg way.
  • Naked Rescue Intensive Care Conditioner - Frizzy, damaged hair - £3.99.
  • Spoilt Rotten Coco De Mer Collection - £9. I wanted to get the body butter (I have far too many but still want more!) so I thought for £4 more, I may as well get the bundle, which includes another two products: body wash and bath foam. These contain passion flower and coconut oil, so understandably have a floral scent, with a hint of coconut. Not a scent I'd usually go for (I like fruity/sweet scents) but I quite like it.

Shop!

Today started out terribly! I woke up late, got mascara all over my face, broke the handle on my make up storage and I have a load of spots.
In a few hours I've got to get ready for a party and I'm knackered. I'm getting into bed as soon as I come home :)
I thought I bought more than I did but ah well, here is my little shop:

Friend's birthday present:
Jar - Wilkinsons - £2
Skittles - Wilkinsons - 98p
Large pomegranate and pear candle - Parchment - £6.99
My Blue Nose Friend Mole - Clinton Cards - £5
Hurraw! Lemon lip balm - Super Smoocher - £3.45
Crazy Rumours Peppermint Twist lip balm - Super Smoocher - £3.45
Barry M Nail Paint in Pure Turquoise - Superdrug - 2 for £4.99
Barry M Nail Paint in Bright Purple - Superdrug - 2 for £4.99

Superdrug:
I won 1000 points on my Beautycard so I got the two products above, the Barry M polishes and a body spray for my sister for just 6p! The normal price of the nail polish remover is £2.09 and the nail files are 99p.

Primark:
 Shoes £3

Primark and Peacocks:
Primark bow hair clips £1, Peacocks bow hair clips £3

Wilkinsons:

I have a Naked body/skin/hair care haul coming up, as well as Liz Earle and GlossyBox reviews.

Nails Of The Week!

Another nail post! Sorry I've done so many this month, I'll try and cut them back, I promise. This week I've used Models Own Nude Beige and a nail tattoo from Born Pretty Store (Review can be found here).

I'm going to be super busy revising for exams over the next month so posts will be limited. I'm stressing out big time and don't think I can get the grades to get into Uni! I wish I revised more for AS so I wouldn't need to retake exams.

Enjoy your Sunday evening :)

Groupon Deal: £8 for £20 to spend on Naked products

Groupon from Naked National Deal

Another Groupon deal I couldn't pass up! I've always wanted to try Naked products and this is the perfect excuse.
I had Groupon credit so actually got this deal for free and will only have to pay P&P. That's £4 for £20 worth of products! I want to try the salt scrub, a hair conditioning mask and their body butter (Body butter is my weakness).
This deal ends tomorrow night. Click here to go to the deal and click here to go to the Naked website.

Kelier Crackle Polish

I'm not a fan of shatter/crackle polishes but I have to admit, I like this one. I prefer this 'shattered glass' effect rather than the likes of Barry M's Nail Effects, which can look messy.
This is another product from Born Pretty Store and costs $4.52 (Around £2.80). I've just looked on the site and can only find the green and yellow shades of this; the rest of the crackle polishes are from another brand (And have that Barry M-like effect which I'm not fond of). Click here to take a look at the crackle polishes available.
This flakes off extremely easily so you have to be careful not to move your fingers before you apply a top coat. Also, it is hard to remove with nail polish remover (It took me 10 minutes to remove this polish from 5 finger nails). Although the formula isn't the best, the effect is really nice and the price is so affordable!

Oh and, the colour I'm wearing underneath is China Glaze's For Audrey.

Nail tattoos

I like the idea of nail tattoos - nail art for the lazy :P
The nail tattoos I'm reviewing today are from Born Pretty Store and you can buy them here for $4.73, which is around £2.88.

I'm not too keen on the patterns in this pack and only like three designs; leopard (Top row, second column), giraffe (Second row, third column) and zebra print (Third row, second column). The Louis Vuitton designs are extremely tacky.

The instructions. Notice a few spelling mistakes?

These are extremely easy to use and you just apply them like you would with a fake tattoo.

I tried out the zebra design with the polish I have been wearing this week (Barry M's Coral):
Because I couldn't be bothered to change my polish, the design looks more like tiger print!
I cannot wait to try the other two designs I like and will most likely wear a nude base polish.

I will probably only wear the tattoos on my ring finger and maybe my thumb. This is because I want the tattoos to last and if I put a design on all of my fingers, I will use an entire square (They're not that big).

I love the idea of nail tattoos but I'm not a huge fan on the selection of designs with this particular pack. That being said, this pack is only a few pounds are there is free shipping with Born Pretty Store :)

Nails Of The Week!

Barry M Nail Paint in Coral.

I haven't worn this polish since last Summer and forgot how much I love it. It's called Coral and is quite simply... a coral. I've had this polish for 1 year 9 months and the formulation is the same as when I first purchased it :)

Someday Summary - Friday

  • Jacks (Or Jax as my dad prefers to spell it) went 'missing' for 2 1/2 weeks. We weren't particularly worried because it's 'mating season' (He had the chop about a month ago though, poor sod). On Tuesday my dad found him chillin' in someone's garden a few streets away haha. We decided to get him a collar so people know where to return him if he goes walk abouts again. It's black and sparkly and he looks adorable!

He kept moving, hence the side shot but this photo shows you the collar well.

  • Also on Tuesday, I drank 1L 250ml of water! I know the recommended amount is 2L but I'm still proud of myself. The only water I normally drink is in a few cups of teas a day. I'm going to try and drink more because I'm sure my body is suffering from the little amount it gets. My muscles keep pulling themselves and they're so painful that I cannot move for about 5 minutes. I'm guessing this is because of water deficiency. Drinking water will also make my skin look better!
  • I'm stressing out about exams. One month left people! I'm worried about English and Media (Not so much Psychology). I get my results on the 18th August and before I collect them, I can log into Ucas to see if I've been accepted into the Uni's I've applied for. Imagine if they say I haven't got a place... I'm going to have to go into school to collect my results, knowing I've done bad. The 18th is also my sister's birthday so if my results are poor, I'm going to be crying on her happy occasion.
  • Most people in my year either have a job, can drive, go 'clubbing' or are having sex. I do none of these things and it makes me feel like a child. I don't have the: confidence to get a job, money to learn to drive, friends to go 'clubbing' and I don't have a boyfriend. In fact, I've never had a boyfriend and I'm 18. How pathetic is that?

My favourite cleanser is nearly gone! Thankfully I have a back up of The Body Shop's Vitamin E Facial Cleansing Bar. Review can be found here. I wrote the review 11 months ago and it's only just running out!

Hair Of The Day

I normally wear my hair straight but decided to do something different today. My natural hair was looking rather nice so I just added a few loose curls. I don't like leaving the house with natural hair because I feel scruffy so felt the need to tweak my hair with the curling tongs. I was also going to do a FOTD but the photos were awful!

China Glaze For Audrey

I've been waiting to wear this polish for a week! I had a few cuts on my fingers so was waiting for them to heal before I took any photos. This is my first China Glaze polish and I love it! This is one of China Glaze's most famous shades and I can see why. I bought it from a seller called enchantedbeautyspot on eBay for around £4.50 including delivery. It arrived from America in just over a week which is pretty good! beautyzone2007 is also another great seller for China Glaze, OPI, Essie etc. The next shades I'm going to order are Flyin' High and High Hopes from the Up and Away collection :)
