Nails of the Week: Essie Bikini So Teeny

Natural light

Flash

Another nail polish post! Sick of them? Then don't read them ;)
Essie's Bikini So Teeny is a cornflower blue with tiny specks of silver glitter in (they are barely noticeable on the nails though). The formula is pretty good, taking an average two coats to become opaque. The wide brush made the streaks minimal, but some were still detected on the first coat, like most nail polishes.
If you would like to buy this colour, it is currently available on the Fragrance Direct website for just £1.99. I can't see it being available for long, so hurry!

New Essie Nail Polishes

The other day, I was browsing Fragrance Direct, and thought I'd see if they had any new Essie shades available. I wasn't expecting them to, so was surprised to see that they did! I was also delighted to see that the shades were releases from this year. The shades I bought are Bikini So Teeny, Lights, and Bazooka. The other shades available are also nice, but I already own similar ones. After a quick search, I found a 15% off code (PAYPAL15. I'm not sure if it still works though), so for all three polishes and P&P, I paid £7.06. I can't wait to wear them, especially Bikini so Teeny. It has tiny specks of silver glitter in!

Nails of the Week: Barry M Gelly Nail Paint in Pomegranate

I'm loving this nail polish! It's a beautiful berry/pink toned red. The photo above and photos I've seen online make it look a lot pinker than it actually is. I would say it's more red than pink. I'm pleased about this because I've been looking for a berry coloured shade for a while. I think Pomegranate is the pink toned version of Raspberry, which is one of my all time favourite nail polishes. The formula is a dream - Above, I'm wearing just one coat. It does have a nice shine, but it's not drastically shinier than the polishes in the normal line. I can see myself wearing this shade a lot in the next few months! Next week, I'll be wearing Blueberry, another nail paint from the Gelly range.

Autumn Dolly Shoes

Hello! Just a quick post from me this evening to show you my new dolly shoes. They're from New Look and are normally £15.99, but there's currently £5 off selected shoes, so I paid £10.99 (Actually, I paid even less because of my student discount). I've been looking for some more dark red/burgundy/berry shoes because they go with most of my outfits (I love wearing navy and this shade goes well with it). It's currently raining and hailing, and tomorrow's weather doesn't look like it's going to be any drier, so I can't wear them just yet. Hopefully, I'll be able to at some point this week!

New Barry M Nail Paints

I've wanted these nail polishes for months, but was waiting for Superdrug to have a 3 for 2. Typically, because I was waiting for a 3 for 2, Superdrug didn't have one for absolutely ages! Anyway, the shades I bought were Blueberry, Grapefruit, Pomegranate and Amethyst Glitter. The Gelly paints are £3.99 each and the glitter is £2.99, but because of the offer, I received one of the Gelly nail paints and the glitter one for free (The glitter one was free because I bought two other nail polishes for my sister for Christmas). I also got 10% off because of my student discount, so ended up saving £8.58. I've swatched them all and really like them. Blueberry and Grapefruit take 2 coats to become opaque, Pomegranate takes 1-2 coats and Amethyst Glitter takes 2-3 coats. For a glitter, that's impressive! I'm going to paint my nails with Pomegranate first because the berry shade is beautiful!

Aztec Phone Case

I'm quite smitten over my new phone case. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, it's bold and tacky, but I like it (obviously, or I wouldn't have bought it!). I first saw it for an iPhone and was instantly drawn. I hoped they had it for a Samsung Galaxy Ace (my phone) and they did! If you also have a Samsung Galaxy Ace, you can buy it here for £3.25, including P&P. If you have an iPhone, can you buy it here for £2.99, including P&P. I have the blue version, but there's also a pink one, which I'm tempted to get!
