MyFace Cosmetics blusher in Paradisio Pink

Casing, product in indirect sunlight, product in direct sunlight.

Swatch, swatch blended out.

I recently won this blusher in a Twitter competition and was excited to receive it as I have never tried any products from this brand before.
What I absolutely love about this brand is that the products are categorised into groups; Fair, Medium and Medium/Dark. This makes it easy for you to choose a shade that will suit your skin tone.
Paradisio Pink is part of the Fair collection and is a bright, bubblegum pink. The colour is that of the indirect sunlight photos but I thought I would show you what the colour looks like in direct sunlight too.
I love the packaging; sturdy and sleek. The brush that comes with the compact (Which also contains a mirror) isn't very soft and I will rarely use it. That being said, most brushes that come with products aren't of great quality. I suppose it is ideal if you want to touch up your blush during the day though.
The formula of the blush is top quality. It is smooth, highly pigmented and blends well.
You can buy this for £9.99, which I must admit, is more expensive than the other blushers I buy, but it is just within my price range (I don't like to spend over £10 on a product!).
There are two other blusher shades in the fair range and they look equally as beautiful!
You can take a look at the website here.

Ring ring!

I couldn't afford to buy anyone presents at Christmas and felt ever so guilty when my friends gave me mine. Now that I have some money, I've decided to buy/give them their Christmas presents! Better late than never :P I bought the necklace above for my bestie. It's so beautiful! I was tempted to keep it for myself haha
The chain is a great length and sits on your cleavage; not too short and not too long.
I bought this for £5-6 from this seller on Etsy.

Someday Summary - Sunday

My Someday Summary posts will now include photos I've taken throughout the week! I love looking at everyone else's :)

  • Last night I changed my blog layout and header. All I wanted to do was change a few individual fonts but for some reason, I wasn't using the simple design and couldn't. I changed to the simple design and had to alter everything! A big thank you to Sophie, from Beauty Comes From Within - She gave me the html codes to make my whole blog layout wider and centre my page tabs :) I changed my blog header to something Summery. The amount of time it took me to find a photo... I may as well start finding photos for the Autumn and Winter headers now!
  • I don't know if I want to do English at Uni anymore. This isn't good seeing as I've already applied! I just think I'm not capable.

Puddin' snoozing in the sun!

What am I having for tea tonight? Fajitas!

After three months, my birthday balloon is dying. It now hovers across my bedroom floor.

My cacti at present. Gosh, the photo really highlights the dirty pots eh?! I had to re-pot the second one from the left as he was getting too big. The second one from the right is about to bloom.

That's it, have a lovely Sunday :)

Shoes and Doggies

I'm not a shoes kinda girl. Nor a handbag one. I buy shoes more for practicality, rather than making an outfit look better.

The shoes I recently bought:
These are from New Look and cost £9.99. I had some like this from Primark and really loved them but my toe made a hole in the fabric and was poking out for the world to see. Hopefully this won't happen with these because there is rubber across the toes! These are cross between dolly shoes and trainers, making them easy to wear with most outfits. They are khaki coloured but New Look also offer them in black, white and blue.

I have a photo of my old Jessie and Shadow, sitting above the steps and wanted to recreate this photo with the new Jessie and Shadow:
New Jessie (nearly 2 years old) and Shadow (13 years old).

Look at Shadow posing! haha
I'm glad I have photos of Shadow with both the old and new Jessie's.

Dainty Roses

Dainty Roses is a little shop which supplies handmade hair accessories and, of recently, jewellery. The pieces are handmade by the very lovely and talented Lisa.
The Rosey Bows are a very popular choice. They're hair bands which you can shape to any shape you wish as they have a wire within the fabric.
The design I ordered is called Penelope and was £4. Most of the designs are the same price; a few are cheaper.
P&P is £1.50.
My order came packaged beautifully, with wrapping paper and a bow. Unfortunately I haven't got a photo of it because I was eager to get to the Rosey Bow!
The only thing is, I'm not sure if it suits me. My hair (Particularly my fringe) has been playing up recently you see.
I love handmade pieces. I love the effort that goes into making them and wrapping them. Thank you Lisa!

Someday Summary - Tuesday

I haven't done one of these posts in a while! I really like writing them actually; they're like my diary :)

  • I'm not fond of my life and it's been like that for a while, but as of lately, I've been feeling really down and I'm not sure why. I hope I start to feel better soon or I'll need to go on the hunt for some happy pills!
  • My exams are about 2 months away. I was meant to start hardcore revision two weeks ago but I've done little since then. I feel like I've let myself down already and if this keeps happening, I'm going to fail my exams and not get into University. This could be the reason why I've been feeling so down actually.
  • I have a University open day in about two weeks which gives me a taster of the course I will be studying. Regular readers will know about my fear of meeting new people. Thankfully, I can bring someone with me for the first half and then by the second, I should be fine.
  • I'm having doubts about liking Uni. It just sounds so hard and I don't think I'll be able to manage the work.
  • Before I started writing this post, I pulled a muscle in my leg and now my cheeks hurt. When I'm in pain, I laugh (Defense thing. Some people do this because laughing apparently eases the pain). Can you imagine if I ever have children? I'll be laughing throughout the whole of my labor. My cheeks will kill!
  • I had a few pounds left in my Paypal account so yesterday I ordered China Glaze For Audrey. I've decided to only buy a polish if I haven't yet got a shade like it in my collection. I have nothing like For Audrey; a pale, muted turquoise. I bought it for £4.50-something from Enchanted Beauty Spot; a seller on eBay. Beauty Zone 2007 is another great seller for cheap China Glaze/OPI/Essie etc but they are a little more expensive (Only by about 20p though).

These are a god send in the Summer! I usually buy about 10 a time haha

St. Moriz!

I'm not too fussed with having a tan but if I do want some colour, I'd rather fake tan than get the real thing. This is because I'm impatient and I don't want to heighten my risk of cancer.
All I've ever used before this, is a gradual tanning moisturiser, so this was my first time fake tanning 'properly'. I am delighted to say, I am happy with the results! Even as a first timer, I found it ever so easy to do.
To me, this smells like shampoo/hairspray which isn't over whelming at all. To prepare for this, I exfoliated and moisturised, like you should prior to all tanning products. I then used plastic gloves to apply the mousse and made sure I rubbed it in well. I left it for 4-6 hours and then had a shower. The water was fairly clear.

The results:
My leg after using St. Moriz and my arm; the colour my legs used to be.

I am always paranoid with tanning products, thinking they have made me turn orange. I'm still not sure if I'm orange with this but it's better than other products I've tried.

You can buy this from the likes of Savers, TJ Hughes, Ebay, Amazon, Fragrance Direct and Cheap Smells (Probably a few other places too).
I was too lazy to go out so I ordered mine from Cheap Smells for £3.99 with free delivery. It's £2.99 from Fragrance Direct but P&P is £1.95.

Sample challenge!

I don't know about you, but I never get around to using samples. As you can see, my collection is building up! Out of all of them, I've tried the Dove conditioner and that's because I had a full sized bottle. I've also tried the Clinique Clarifying Lotion which I don't like at all; it burns so much!
Starting from today, I'm going to try and use these samples up because if I don't use them, then what's the point in having them?

GOSH Trio Eye Shadows

Pink Sunset

Tropic Fever

Crystal Waters

Limelight

These are the new shades of trio eye shadows GOSH have released. The colours certainly stand out! The pigmentation of these is good and as you can see, the colours are buildable. My favourite is Tropic Fever as the blue is beautiful and is the most pigmented out of all the shades. My next favourite is Crystal Waters, as I regularly wear blues and greens on my lower lash line. Then Pink Sunset and then Limelight. I think Pink Sunset will be hard to wear because reds and pinks usually make my eyes look sore.
This is just an introduction to the eye shadows. Hopefully I will be posting looks on how to wear each of the trios. This will also be useful for me to see how I can wear red and pink eye shadows.
These are priced at around £7 each.

BeautyUK 3D FX mascara

Ugly eye alert!

Price: £3.99

I'm really disappointed with this mascara. The formula is so dry. So dry that it looks like the mascara has been open for two months. You can see how dry the formula is in the second photo. Because of this, little product is transferred to my lashes and all it does is give them a black tint. It doesn't lengthen or give my lashes volume.

BeautyUK lipstick in Passion

Price: £3.49

Passion is a bright, raspberry pink. This lipstick is extremely pigmented! So pigmented that you only need one swipe to get full coverage. It is also really creamy and glides on well. I'm not sure on the staying power but after wiping it off of my hand, a stain was left. The price is very affordable too!
Another shade that is catching my eye is Vampire, a gorgeous deep red.

Boots Botanics Golden Glow Body Lotion

Price: £3.05

'Botanics Golden Glow Body Lotion is a rich 12 hour moisture lotion which builds a gradual golden colour with regular use, without streaking or exposing your skin to sun.'

This has a light floral scent, which I really like. It sinks into my skin well, leaves it moisturised and develops a golden glow without streaking, so I have to agree with the claims. I wouldn't say this product gives you a lot of colour, so if you are looking for that, another product may be better. This gives you exactly what it says; a golden glow. I get paranoid with tanning products, thinking I look uber orange but this product is fine.

Here is my arm (Which is the same colour my legs used to be) against my leg after using this product for 2 days:
Leg, arm.

It's not a huge colour difference but I am really happy with it.

The price of this product is so affordable and I would definitely recommend it.

Rollasoles

I'm sure most of you are aware of Rollasoles, but if you're not, Rollasoles are light-weight dolly shoes which roll up to fit in compact places; your handbag for example. After a night in heels, your feet are usually sore. These shoes help you get home in comfort.

Most of the designs are £6.95, with the exception of the Parisian design:

Which are £9.95.
They also come with a bag to carry your shoes in.

I love that these are compact and can save your feet from the dreaded journey home. I am not so keen on the Parisian design though and think that the plain black ones would go with a lot more outfits. That being said, if my feet were in pain, I wouldn't care what the design was.

A creased Outfit Of The Night

Sorry the dress is so creased; I took the photo when I arrived home!
I went to my Auntie's 21st birthday party Saturday. It was OK. I'm not really myself around my family and am very quiet.

ASOS Nail Paint in Blake.

I had to file my nails down. Again. They grow so fast!

Etsy necklace

I do love my vintage looking necklaces!
How beautiful is the most recent addition to my collection?
The only thing that I'm not so keen on is the weight of it. It feels quite light, making it feel a little cheap. I'm going to put the pendant on a longer, heavier chain.
I purchased it from this seller for around £4.

I think I'm falling in love this Etsy. You can buy such beautiful, handmade pieces.

Favourite Eye Shadows

First of all, sorry the photos aren't of great quality!

GOSH Effect Powder in Satin and Barry M Dazzle Dusts in Mushroom and Teal. Teal is more intense than the photo suggests.

MUA Eye Shadows in shades 1, 6, 8 and 11. I LOVE these! For £1 they are great quality. I really want MUA to bring out other shades; a gold would be nice.

Urban Decay YDK, Half Baked and Twice Baked.

And of course, the Original Sleek palette.
