Everyday Minerals Mint Colour Corrector

I got a sample size of this as part of a prize and the sample size is defiantly big enough - will last ages!

Price: Full size: $8, Sample size $2.50

What they say: 'This high-tech product is a favorite among makeup artists and those with blemishes, alike. That’s because the mint color neutralizes red, blemishes, broken capillaries, and ruddiness vanish behind this potent mineral formulation.'

What I say: When I first went to try this product out, I wasn't expecting much as I didn't think a light weight loose powder could do much or have a good coverage. I have red hair and on the bottom of my cheeks I have red patches of skin. I used this product and they disappeared! I also use it around blemishes and because it cancels out the red, they are barely noticeable. I love this product and when I have the money I want to try out a few more products from their range.

My Toes :)

As I've said previously, my camera has died so I have decided to draw you what my toe nails look like! (Paint over a picture) The colours you see are accurate to what the colours look like in real life as they do not have any shimmer in them.

^ Looks very similar to my toe nails.
The colours used are: Barry M Nail Paint in Limited Edition Pink & Collection 2000 Nail Polish in BMX Bandit.
Oh and some people might say that they are not symmetrical: They are not meant to be - Left foot pink toe nails with pink on the inside on the big toe nail and right foot blue toe nails with blue on the inside of the big toe nail.

Newlook, Boots & Superdrug Haul

Newlook:
Navy hoodie £12, Umbrella £8
I'm a size 8-10 but when buying coats or hoodies, I get a size 12. I got this hoodie in a size 16 because I want it big and baggy. I think hoodies should be large and not fitting as they are to keep you warm. I'm wearing it now and I love it!

Here is the print of the umbrella. Its zebra print and has a stonewash colour running through it instead of just being black and white. It also has black frills on the bottom and a 'hook' handle which I love.

Boots: A few Christmas presents
Photo frames for my Nan £10, Mug £5 and Flower marshmallows £2 for my Auntie.

Superdrug:
Lipbalms £3.99
I picked up a few packs of these to divide between friends at Christmas for extra presents. I am also keeping a pack for myself as I love them. They are each a huge 20g (Vaseline size) and in the pack, you get : Cranberry and Pomegranate, Coconut and Shea Butter & Mango and Papaya. They all smell great! Especially the Coconut and Shea Butter one.

Going Christmas shopping again in two weeks :)

Also in Accessorize, there is a cute owl necklace (£5) I am going to buy and a mushroom sharpener/rubber! (£1.75)
I'm also buying a few friends some purses (£5) from there for Christmas. One design is a penguin! Which is adorable and the other design is a pink sequinned strawberry which is so cute.

RIP Camera

I went to charge my camera so I can upload the photos to blogger but it didn't turn on :( So I will be getting a new one using my birthday money in January (Two months away! :( ). I like the look of a Samsung one (I like Samsung and have always used their cameras and phones) - 12 mega pixels and £79.99. Until then I will have to try and get as many pictures off of the internet and use my rubbish camera on my phone. I've got NOTW, Toe nail patterns and the Revlon false nails I won to show you (I got the pattern I wanted :D). I think I can get the Revlon pictures off the internet and as for the other two... A crappy picture of my nails and I'll draw you a picture of my toe nails! As you don't really need to see the colours - You should know what they are and what they look like aswell because I have used to very common colours :) Oh and I can find the colours on the computer because both of the colours used are not shimmery.
I am also going in town tomorrow so will have a haul. Again I'll try to take pictures, if not then I'll get them from the internet.

Hope you've had a good week and have an even better weekend :)

My New Years Resolution...

Each year my new years resolutions are always along the lines of: 'To be more positive' or 'To do better in school' and these are easier said than done. Also they are quite boring resolutions and I always lose my motivation in the first month.

So for 2010 my new years resolution is to learn to knit! Some people might think this is a hobby for 'Old Grannies' but I personally think it is great. You can knit while watching TV or when you have half an hour free etc...
& the fact that you get something at the end like a scarf or blanket (This is what I'm aiming for, no jumpers yet!) is even better.
Knitting is similar to when children make scoobies - They repeat a pattern and at the end get a product (I was a pro at scoobies and have so many around my house!)

I am so excited but want to keep it for my new years resolution. If all goes to plan, I want to knit my friends and family scarves for next Christmas. I think they would mean a lot as I have handmade them and my friends love the idea :)

What are your new years resolutions? Simple, weird, I want to know!

Superdrug Colour Sensations Semi-Permanent Hair Colour

So yesterday I dyed my hair with Superdrug's Colour Sensations Semi-Permanent Hair Colour in 6:7 Warm Chocolate Brown (£2.93). To me, I can see quite a big difference in the colour of my hair but you always notice the slightest things about yourself don't you?
At school, not many people noticed and the handful that did comment said something along the lines of 'Have you dyed your hair? It looks darker.'
My friends said that it wasn't really a true brown colour, more of a really dark auburn, which isn't that basically brown anyway?
Even though my friends said it wasn't the basic brown you come across, they still really like it.

So is it a good thing that not many people noticed? I think it could be because it must look natural. I didn't want a completely different hair colour that doesn't look natural just so people would notice.

Compared to my natural hair colour ^ This is darker. Also the flash is on so you get to see what I mean about the Auburn shine still being there. You can also see that it is different to what it is on the box but I like it :) I think my Auburn hair does not want to be covered, that's why you can still see the shine of it.

Tiny Superdrug Haul

This is a pretty pointless post but I want to show you the small gum ball machine I bought my uncle for Christmas! It was £1.99 is your interested ;)

Also up the top is Superdrugs Colour Effects Wash in Wash Out Conditioning Colour in True Chestnut. This was 97p and the reviews for this product are really good.
I used this a couple of days ago and can not do a review because it turns out True Chestnut is basically my natural Auburn hair colour so I can not tell if the product took to my hair well. I might buy the more red toned colour and see how that works out.

Oh and the marshmallows were 99p and the tubes of sweets were 2 for £2. Haaaa - You never know, someone could find that information useful.
:)

Quick Update On Posts

Sorry I haven't made a post in a few days, my dad has been on in the evenings. I do have three posts to come, tiny Superdrug haul which isn't worth showing but I will because it includes a small gum ball machine! My prizes from GetGawjus arrived! I love everything! and the last post will be on hair colour - Quick story: I used the Temporary Effects but I can not do a review because 'Chestnut Brown' is very similar to my own natural colour so I can not tell if the product did a good job. I did however buy a hair colour from their next range up: Colour Sensations Semi-Permanent (£2.93) and I got it in 6:7 Warm Chocolate Brown. I dyed my hair last night and you can see the difference with this one. I'll see if I like it today.
I probably will not get on the computer tonight so those three posts will be up tomorrow :)

My Hair Colour & Superdrugs Effects Temporary Hair Colour

I haven't been taken the mick out of for my hair colour in agessss and when people do give the odd comment (Normally immature boys 12/13) it doesn't upset me because... ITS A HAIR COLOUR! You here this a lot but its true, who cares what colour your hair is?
I don't get upset by these comments, I get really angry because they can not see how immature they are and I seriously want to put them in hospital, maybe then they'll learn?
My hair colour hasn't affected how many friends I have, how many boys like me but I think it has had some affect on my confidence.

I love my hair colour and would not like to dye it. And also, I have seen so many 'Gingers' dye their hair a dark colour because they don't want to stand out, are not strong enough to ignore the stupid twats who give the comments and have low self esteem. I don't want to be ashamed of my hair colour, why should I be?

But I have seen in Superdrug a wash in wash out hair colour conditioner for 97p. I was thinking about getting the brown shade to tone down my red locks for a while. I've been reading the reviews and their all really good.
I want to get it to experiment really, see how it looks etc...
But I defiantly won't be getting a permanent hair dye as I don't want to be dying my hair all the time and covering roots etc...

Sooo yeaaaah :)
I might do an Ins and Outs post later,
Have a good night :)

Miss Sporty Studio Lash Mascara - Review

I really like Miss Sporty products - I use their concealer most of the time and their nail varnishes are my favourite to use.

Last year I bought their Studio Lash mascara (£2.93), being the first plastic brush mascara I used... and the last. I've said before that I prefer 'proper' bristled brushes because they give volume and comb your lashes when applying to prevent clumps. I find that with plastic brushes, they give no volume at all and clump because the 'bristles' are plastic which makes them quite thick.
This being said, I gave it to my mum which it then sat in the bottom of her make-up bag for months and months. Earlier I decided to re-use this mascara to see if my thoughts had changed, now that I am into make-up and have a better view on products.

To me, my lashes looked very clumpy and unnatural after applying. It made my eye lashes look thick, plastic and fake. Some people may like the big fake looking lashes, but I myself, do not.
So do I still dislike plastic brushes? Defiantly!
On to the next point: The formula of the mascara - It was still wet after 10 minutes! Even now after 20 minutes it feels quite tacky.

I review products I either love or hate and normally they are products I love. If a product is nothing special then I don't review it because you want to know what is really good or what to stay clear of, not the 'mm it is alright' products - They won't help you decide to buy it or not.
I don't think I have ever done a bad review, this being the first because I can not name 3 products I hate - it rarely happens.
