I want my hair back!

So as some of you may know, I have had 12 inches cut off in the last two months. Yes I like the length and yes it is easy to put up BUT its been cut so blunt! I think this is mainly because I have extremely thick hair but other peoples hair I've seen doesn't do this.
I'm missing having long hair and wearing it wavy and all pretty. My hair does grow fast so it should be long in a few months but I'm really impatient and want long hair now!
So until then, I'm going to have to wear it up everyday. I've tried straightening it and wearing it down but it just doesn't look good.
Lately I've been just gripping parts of my hair back and putting the rest in a low bun which looks quite nice.

Merry Christmas everyone for tomorrow :)

Republic Dress & Sleek Palette!

Republic simple black sequin dress £19.99. (^ Looks better on me :P). I tried this on earlier to show my parents and they love it. My dad hardly ever gives compliments and when he does, he normally says: 'Thats alright' but when he saw me in this he said: 'That's really nice!' so it must look good! I'm wearing this on new years eve to my friends party. The girls are dressing up as flappers (1920's prostitutes basically) and the guys as 1920's gangsters.

I finally got the Original Sleek Palette! £4.99
I love it! The colours are gorgeous!

Collection 2000 Glam Crystals

Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liners

Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liners

Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liners

Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liners
I bought four Glam Crystals today as I love them so much! Two of them are re purchases because I gave them to my mum.
From top to bottom: Funk 3 (Gold), Spandex 12 (Green), Pow! 10 (Blue) & Shake it up! 11 (Dark blue/Purple. On the website they show it as a pure purple but it is defiantly not. I think they should bring a bright purple one out though ^^)

I also already own Le Freak which is an electric bright blue (Gorgeous!)

These are £2.93 each. Superdrug have a 3 for 2 sale on at the moment as most of you know.
Because I am a geek, I have worked out that if you buy 2 of these, and get a 3rd one free, it works out that you are paying around £1.95 per eyeliner! Pretty darn good if you ask me!

East Village

In a New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish in East Village

Some of you may have seen a few posts down that I didn't like this polish as it was VERY sheer...

Good news is that I've found the number of coats you need to apply for it to become opaque.
Bad news is that you have to apply 4 coats. This might not seem a lot to some people, but all the nail polishes I have tried apply in 1 coat, 2 at the most, so I don't think I'll be wearing it that often.
I have a blue similar to this from Collection 2000 which is amazing. Miss Sporty also do a beautiful blue. Both of these apply like a dream.

Big Haul

Okay, so there is no way I can get the photos onto here, so bare with me... I've got a few from the internet, but you will have to read the other things lol

Peacocks - £12. This looks sooo much nicer in real life, it is sparkly!

Peacocks - £10. Mine look like this but are longer (have four buttons instead of two)

Boots - £1.95

Boots - £1.95

Boots - £1
Also got the honey and jojoba leave in conditioner for £1

Collection 2000 - Glam Crystals Eyeliner in Spandex - £2.93 - I love this!

Right now on to words...
Primark:
Two pairs of white trainers and one pair of navy blue - £2 each
Pink scarf - £3ish
Metallic animal print scarf - £3ish
Super booster bra in teal - £5 - Omi, this makes your boobs huge! I don't know if I like the huge fake look but will still look good under clothes.
Two pack of perfect shape bras in black - £6 - These are also amazing.
Lace front hot pants - £4

Accessorize:
I bought four purses for my friends and they're all really cute! They were all £4.50. One of them is from the child's section and is in the shape of a strawberry!

Also, in Poundland they have these chocolate wafer straws and I was over the moon when I found them because I hadn't had them in ten years!

Ooooh and, some of you may know I am becoming obsessed with owls. Well I bought a teddy owl today and the money went towards an owl charity. I bought it at a stall and they had real owls there and I stroked them! They had a grey one, a gorgeous white one, a hugeeeee one with big orange eyes and the cutest littlest one I had ever seen!

I also found a Sleek stand in a Superdrug! :D When I go in next I am getting the Original palette. I tested the colours and they are suprisingly smooth and look gorgeous!

I have an Avon haul coming up too :)

And again, sorry for the lack of photos x

Small NYC Nail Varnish Haul

I bought:

£2.49
New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish in 216B Central Park - This is a really pretty pink/peach/beige. This is very shimmery which I love.

£2.49
New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish in 206B East Village - I don't like this so far, its VERY sheer and watery. Its a shame because the colour is gorgeous. Maybe I just got a bad bottle :/

£1.99
Long-Wearing Nail Enamel in 133 Purple Pizzazz Frost - Lovely shimmery purple.

What I'm Loving At The Moment...

Headbands and slightly tacky flower clips :)
When I get home from school, wind swept and wet, all I want to do is put my hair back so I've found myself grabbing for my headbands :)
Also, with all this wind and rain we've been getting, I've been wearing my hair up a lot and to add a little detail, I've been wearing little plastic flower clips to pin flyaway's back and to add detail to my messy bun. They actually look really nice :)

P.S I'm liking my hair colour more now as I have got used to it :)
x

Also, no ones posts are coming up on my home page :(
Hopefully, they will come back, but for now I can not have my daily read :(

Garnier Nutrisse

£4.86

I dyed my hair yesterday with Garnier Nutrisse in shade 4 dark brown.
Was easy to apply, like any other dye really :) Except you don't have to wet your hair before with this one.
The colour pay off is good, looks exactly like it does on the box and also my hair is super shiny :)

I'm not sure whether I like it though. Its nothing to do with the actual dye itself. I just don't like it this dark. I think I should of got the shade golden dark brown instead :/
People at school seem to like it and my parents also do but I prefer my dark auburn locks instead of this shade of brown. I would prefer a chocolate brown which has warm red tones in it.

This is permanent but hopefully it will fade slightly. Apparently 'Ginger' hair doesn't take dye's as well as other hair colours so this should help the colour become less intense.
I'll wait for this one to fade out and go back to my natural hair colour. Hopefully I won't get horrific roots - If I do then I'll have to dye it a chestnut brown (Close to my natural hair colour) and then wait for my hair colour to come through. This way when the roots begin to grow, you will not see them.

Everyday Minerals Mint Colour Corrector

I got a sample size of this as part of a prize and the sample size is defiantly big enough - will last ages!

Price: Full size: $8, Sample size $2.50

What they say: 'This high-tech product is a favorite among makeup artists and those with blemishes, alike. That’s because the mint color neutralizes red, blemishes, broken capillaries, and ruddiness vanish behind this potent mineral formulation.'

What I say: When I first went to try this product out, I wasn't expecting much as I didn't think a light weight loose powder could do much or have a good coverage. I have red hair and on the bottom of my cheeks I have red patches of skin. I used this product and they disappeared! I also use it around blemishes and because it cancels out the red, they are barely noticeable. I love this product and when I have the money I want to try out a few more products from their range.

My Toes :)

As I've said previously, my camera has died so I have decided to draw you what my toe nails look like! (Paint over a picture) The colours you see are accurate to what the colours look like in real life as they do not have any shimmer in them.

^ Looks very similar to my toe nails.
The colours used are: Barry M Nail Paint in Limited Edition Pink & Collection 2000 Nail Polish in BMX Bandit.
Oh and some people might say that they are not symmetrical: They are not meant to be - Left foot pink toe nails with pink on the inside on the big toe nail and right foot blue toe nails with blue on the inside of the big toe nail.

Newlook, Boots & Superdrug Haul

Newlook:
Navy hoodie £12, Umbrella £8
I'm a size 8-10 but when buying coats or hoodies, I get a size 12. I got this hoodie in a size 16 because I want it big and baggy. I think hoodies should be large and not fitting as they are to keep you warm. I'm wearing it now and I love it!

Here is the print of the umbrella. Its zebra print and has a stonewash colour running through it instead of just being black and white. It also has black frills on the bottom and a 'hook' handle which I love.

Boots: A few Christmas presents
Photo frames for my Nan £10, Mug £5 and Flower marshmallows £2 for my Auntie.

Superdrug:
Lipbalms £3.99
I picked up a few packs of these to divide between friends at Christmas for extra presents. I am also keeping a pack for myself as I love them. They are each a huge 20g (Vaseline size) and in the pack, you get : Cranberry and Pomegranate, Coconut and Shea Butter & Mango and Papaya. They all smell great! Especially the Coconut and Shea Butter one.

Going Christmas shopping again in two weeks :)

Also in Accessorize, there is a cute owl necklace (£5) I am going to buy and a mushroom sharpener/rubber! (£1.75)
I'm also buying a few friends some purses (£5) from there for Christmas. One design is a penguin! Which is adorable and the other design is a pink sequinned strawberry which is so cute.

RIP Camera

I went to charge my camera so I can upload the photos to blogger but it didn't turn on :( So I will be getting a new one using my birthday money in January (Two months away! :( ). I like the look of a Samsung one (I like Samsung and have always used their cameras and phones) - 12 mega pixels and £79.99. Until then I will have to try and get as many pictures off of the internet and use my rubbish camera on my phone. I've got NOTW, Toe nail patterns and the Revlon false nails I won to show you (I got the pattern I wanted :D). I think I can get the Revlon pictures off the internet and as for the other two... A crappy picture of my nails and I'll draw you a picture of my toe nails! As you don't really need to see the colours - You should know what they are and what they look like aswell because I have used to very common colours :) Oh and I can find the colours on the computer because both of the colours used are not shimmery.
I am also going in town tomorrow so will have a haul. Again I'll try to take pictures, if not then I'll get them from the internet.

Hope you've had a good week and have an even better weekend :)

My New Years Resolution...

Each year my new years resolutions are always along the lines of: 'To be more positive' or 'To do better in school' and these are easier said than done. Also they are quite boring resolutions and I always lose my motivation in the first month.

So for 2010 my new years resolution is to learn to knit! Some people might think this is a hobby for 'Old Grannies' but I personally think it is great. You can knit while watching TV or when you have half an hour free etc...
& the fact that you get something at the end like a scarf or blanket (This is what I'm aiming for, no jumpers yet!) is even better.
Knitting is similar to when children make scoobies - They repeat a pattern and at the end get a product (I was a pro at scoobies and have so many around my house!)

I am so excited but want to keep it for my new years resolution. If all goes to plan, I want to knit my friends and family scarves for next Christmas. I think they would mean a lot as I have handmade them and my friends love the idea :)

What are your new years resolutions? Simple, weird, I want to know!

Superdrug Colour Sensations Semi-Permanent Hair Colour

So yesterday I dyed my hair with Superdrug's Colour Sensations Semi-Permanent Hair Colour in 6:7 Warm Chocolate Brown (£2.93). To me, I can see quite a big difference in the colour of my hair but you always notice the slightest things about yourself don't you?
At school, not many people noticed and the handful that did comment said something along the lines of 'Have you dyed your hair? It looks darker.'
My friends said that it wasn't really a true brown colour, more of a really dark auburn, which isn't that basically brown anyway?
Even though my friends said it wasn't the basic brown you come across, they still really like it.

So is it a good thing that not many people noticed? I think it could be because it must look natural. I didn't want a completely different hair colour that doesn't look natural just so people would notice.

Compared to my natural hair colour ^ This is darker. Also the flash is on so you get to see what I mean about the Auburn shine still being there. You can also see that it is different to what it is on the box but I like it :) I think my Auburn hair does not want to be covered, that's why you can still see the shine of it.

Prizes from GetGawjus!

My prizes from Shifa's contest arrived! Thank you so much!

Tiny Superdrug Haul

This is a pretty pointless post but I want to show you the small gum ball machine I bought my uncle for Christmas! It was £1.99 is your interested ;)

Also up the top is Superdrugs Colour Effects Wash in Wash Out Conditioning Colour in True Chestnut. This was 97p and the reviews for this product are really good.
I used this a couple of days ago and can not do a review because it turns out True Chestnut is basically my natural Auburn hair colour so I can not tell if the product took to my hair well. I might buy the more red toned colour and see how that works out.

Oh and the marshmallows were 99p and the tubes of sweets were 2 for £2. Haaaa - You never know, someone could find that information useful.
:)

Quick Update On Posts

Sorry I haven't made a post in a few days, my dad has been on in the evenings. I do have three posts to come, tiny Superdrug haul which isn't worth showing but I will because it includes a small gum ball machine! My prizes from GetGawjus arrived! I love everything! and the last post will be on hair colour - Quick story: I used the Temporary Effects but I can not do a review because 'Chestnut Brown' is very similar to my own natural colour so I can not tell if the product did a good job. I did however buy a hair colour from their next range up: Colour Sensations Semi-Permanent (£2.93) and I got it in 6:7 Warm Chocolate Brown. I dyed my hair last night and you can see the difference with this one. I'll see if I like it today.
I probably will not get on the computer tonight so those three posts will be up tomorrow :)

My Hair Colour & Superdrugs Effects Temporary Hair Colour

I haven't been taken the mick out of for my hair colour in agessss and when people do give the odd comment (Normally immature boys 12/13) it doesn't upset me because... ITS A HAIR COLOUR! You here this a lot but its true, who cares what colour your hair is?
I don't get upset by these comments, I get really angry because they can not see how immature they are and I seriously want to put them in hospital, maybe then they'll learn?
My hair colour hasn't affected how many friends I have, how many boys like me but I think it has had some affect on my confidence.

I love my hair colour and would not like to dye it. And also, I have seen so many 'Gingers' dye their hair a dark colour because they don't want to stand out, are not strong enough to ignore the stupid twats who give the comments and have low self esteem. I don't want to be ashamed of my hair colour, why should I be?

But I have seen in Superdrug a wash in wash out hair colour conditioner for 97p. I was thinking about getting the brown shade to tone down my red locks for a while. I've been reading the reviews and their all really good.
I want to get it to experiment really, see how it looks etc...
But I defiantly won't be getting a permanent hair dye as I don't want to be dying my hair all the time and covering roots etc...

Sooo yeaaaah :)
I might do an Ins and Outs post later,
Have a good night :)

Miss Sporty Studio Lash Mascara - Review

I really like Miss Sporty products - I use their concealer most of the time and their nail varnishes are my favourite to use.

Last year I bought their Studio Lash mascara (£2.93), being the first plastic brush mascara I used... and the last. I've said before that I prefer 'proper' bristled brushes because they give volume and comb your lashes when applying to prevent clumps. I find that with plastic brushes, they give no volume at all and clump because the 'bristles' are plastic which makes them quite thick.
This being said, I gave it to my mum which it then sat in the bottom of her make-up bag for months and months. Earlier I decided to re-use this mascara to see if my thoughts had changed, now that I am into make-up and have a better view on products.

To me, my lashes looked very clumpy and unnatural after applying. It made my eye lashes look thick, plastic and fake. Some people may like the big fake looking lashes, but I myself, do not.
So do I still dislike plastic brushes? Defiantly!
On to the next point: The formula of the mascara - It was still wet after 10 minutes! Even now after 20 minutes it feels quite tacky.

I review products I either love or hate and normally they are products I love. If a product is nothing special then I don't review it because you want to know what is really good or what to stay clear of, not the 'mm it is alright' products - They won't help you decide to buy it or not.
I don't think I have ever done a bad review, this being the first because I can not name 3 products I hate - it rarely happens.

Some of my mums makeup - swatches

Most of my mums makeup bag consists of old cheap makeup which I have gave her because I don't want it anymore, but there are a few items which are quite nice - mainly because me or my nan have bought them for her as she can not afford to buy luxuries for herself.

Here we have BodyShop's Liquid Lip Colour in 14 Bronzed, Maybelline's Lip Gloss in 05 Fuchsia Jewel, Primark's Lip Gloss in Sundae and Maybellines Watershine Lipstick in 110 Sequin Mauve.
My mum has had the Maybelline Lip Gloss and Lip Stick for years so I don't think these products are available any more although I think I have seen the Lip Stick on Ebay.

BodyShop's Eyeshadow's in 15 Pebble Grey and 31 Peacock Green. Peacock Green on top in swatch.
I really like these eye-shadows.

Collection 2000's Dazzle Me's in 6 Fairy Dust and 9 Enchanted.

A few more things I have my eye on...

Seen in Tesco for £13 something. The handles are made out of bamboo and loads of people rave about the brushes! Also comes with a little brush roll to keep them safe :) 5 brushes and a roll for that price is pretty darn good - just over a few pounds for each brush :)

£5.99. I should start using a moisturiser more often.

Body Shop's Lip & Cheek Stain

01 Rose Pink
£9.25

What they say: For a natural looking just blushed glow to the cheeks or just bitten in to a strawberry lips this double -duty product is a must have for the make-up bag. The more you sweep it on, the deeper it gets.

What I say: I have been using my mums for a while now (Since beginning of this year) and normally I wouldn't spend this much on a lip/cheek product but I really like it and have no hesitations of purchasing this myself. The colour in the tube does look quite frightening but when you apply it, it looks very natural.

On the lips: It looks like you have naturally pigmented lips and to get a more intense look, just build up the colour. It looks so natural because it is a stain and doesn't look like you have slapped a load of make-up on. The lasting power is very good as well because it is a stain. I remember applying it one day at about 7am and you could still see the product at 12pm (I didn't check after that so I don't know how much longer it stayed on for). The product obviously did wear away a little but because it was a stain, it still looked natural and didn't give me lipstick lines.
On the cheeks: This does look very scary to put on your cheeks but it blends really well and gives a naturally flushed look.

I personally love this product :)

New Obsession

I've recently been loving anything to do with owls, especially these:

The first three necklaces are from Accessorize and the last one I found on Ebay. I think their so cute!

Aren't these adorable?

Look how pretty this cake is!

^ This then got me searching for 'Amazing birthday cakes' & I was blew away by the cakes I saw - They were fantastic. So I ended up distracted and hungry :/

Republic Haul :)

Here are a few tops I ordered yesterday from Republic. Delivery is very fast :). Unfortunately I ordered a third but has not arrived because it is out of stock :( Republic should refund my money as soon as possible.
I don't have much money so headed for the sale section. I found:

This top - £5 down from £15. They only had it in a size 6 but I wanted it anyway :) The good thing is that it is an oversized top so it still fits me perfectly!

& This T-shirt. £5 also down from £15.

The other top I was meant to get was £5 down from £25! It was really nice as well :(
I won't be going on Republic's website for a while now because I have no money and don't want to be looking at things I can not have. They will also be sold out by the time I do have money.
